INTERESANTES NOVEDADES EN ESPELETIINAE (ASTERACEAE-HELIANTHEAE) DE COLOMBIA

Abstract

Se nominan, describen e ilustran siete especies nuevas de Espeletia Mutis ex Humb. & Bonpl, una nueva variedad de E. curialensis Cuatrec. y una nueva especie de Espeletiopsis Cuatrec. Los nuevos taxones se concentran en la Cordillera Oriental, particularmente en el Parque Nacional Natural de Pisba en territorio del Departamento de Boyacá así: cinco especies en los páramos del municipio de Socotá y tres en el llamado corredor biológico Pisba-Cocuy, páramo de los Venados en el municipio de Chita; la nueva variedad prospera en el flanco oriental de la Serranía del Cocuy en jurisdicción del departamento de Casanare.
