GEOTECNIA EN SUELOS NO SATURADOS

Abstract

Se presenta una síntesis sobre tópicos referentes a la mecánica de suelos no saturados con la finalidad de incentivar su adopción en la Geotecnia. Se muestran aspectos más relevantes relativos al tema tales como: características del suelo no saturado, conceptos de succión, variables de estados de tensión y algunas teorías para retratar algunas propiedades mecánicas como variación de volumen y resistencia al corte y por otro lado, propiedades hidráulicas como permeabilidad en suelos no saturados.

In this paper, a synthesis on referring topics to unsaturated soils mechanics is presented to incentive their practice in geotechnical engineering. Some important aspects are presented as: unsaturated soil characteristics, suctions concepts, stress state variable and some theories to portray some mechanical properties like as volume change and shear strength and on the other hand, hydraulic properties as permeability in unsaturated soils.
