The electron density on a global and point-to-point scale of Hubble V and Hubble X giant H II regions, located in the galaxy NGC 6822, was studied using long-slit spectroscopy in the visible spectrum. The results obtained present for the first time a measure of the spatial variation of the electron density of these two giant h II regions, showing that they have an inhomogeneous behavior in their density at the local level as well as a low-density regime at the global level, and verifying that the electronic temperature has a low incidence in its determination. |
