La “Tabla de géneros”, un interesante manuscrito botánico

Abstract

Se transcribe y se comenta un manuscrito botánico titulado “Tabla de géneros” y que contiene datos pertinentes a la clasificación de 97 géneros de plantas y a los usos terapéuticos dados a algunas de sus especies, incluyendo información sobre sus nombres, sinonimia y etimologías. Por sus características y contenido, así como por los autores que son citados, este texto debió ser escrito en el último tercio del Siglo XVIII iniciando apenas el siglo XIX. Se ignora quién pueda ser su autor.

The botanical manuscript entitled Table of Genera is transcribed and commented. The document contains data about the classification of 97 plant genera and the therapeutic properties given to some species, including infor- mation about their names, synonyms and etymologies. Due to its characteristics, contents and authorities that are quoted, the anonymous text was probably written on the last third of the XVIII century or at the beginning of the XIX century.
