In Colombia, it has been recorded in some localities in the departments of Caquetá, Cundinamarca, Guajira, Huila, Magdalena, Norte de Santander, Santander, Risaralda, and Tolima. The species has been reported in an urban area of the city of Medellín, specifically on the green area of the Institución Universitaria ITM - Sistema de Laboratorios Parque i, where adult individuals were captured with a Van Someren-Rydon trap baited with decomposing animal material in 2017 and 2019. The species identification was based on morphological characters.
